The Spotlight feat. Touré - @tdoug9
Personally the fashion sense I've come to wield now was birthed in a time where I couldn't afford the garments/ pieces I own currently in my collection. Growing up being forced to create new outfits from the same inventory of clothes that stood in my closet allowed me to be first and foremost grateful for what I had no matter how small ;in addition to becoming creative.
This desire of wanting more while still being grateful led to a high school obsession with sneaker culture . My first job saw the majority of my earnings go into starting the genesis of my sneaker collection. This then morphed into a full blown admiration for fashion and putting looks together.
As I transitioned into a post university life and full blown adulthood, I saw my fashion tendencies transition as well. While I will always be a sneakerhead at heart I have found myself more taken up with the actual pieces I am wearing . I must admit many of my outfits are still birthed from a shoe choice followed by a staple garment to compliment it.
With adulthood also came the blessing of creating my own living space in my apartment -- Introducing a whole new love for interior design and aesthetics. I have seen my humble beginnings of creation spill over into my current living situation.
