If there’s still time, there’s still hope.
There are so many inspirational quotes that aim to keep our spirits lifted when we feel a bit behind. Whether that is behind on a project, behind on a career path or trailing behind in a game. The motivation usually reminds us that as long as there is time left on the clock, we stand a chance at redemption.
And last weekend, we saw this lesson play out in the most epic of ways in a football game. The parallels between the game of life and the games that were played last weekend are uncanny and my heart got so excited as I watched back highlights from the Bills V Chiefs showdown. I mean…BRO. The game was called. It was over. No one would have scrutinized the Bills for an early celebration. But 13 seconds was just the perfect amount of time for a stunning victory.
As I watched back the highlights (because let's be honest, I did not watch the game) I couldn't help but think about how sweet that moment must have been for the Chiefs. For them to rally, against all odds (and time) and sneak away with a nearly miraculous victory.
Here are some lessons *and* moments of inspiration that I drew from this game. I hope that they inspire you, wherever you are, on whatever journey you’re on to believe in your win. Regardless of how impossible or far away it may seem, if there's still time on the clock, there’s still hope for you.
Time is in your favor. Use it
Be anchored in the belief that you can win. That way, when things don’t seem favorable, you can lean on your unshakable faith
Rally the people around you. No matter the goal, community is paramount. You are always better off in community and you don't have to do it alone
